Jim Plunk
Pastor
Jim was born and raised in Memphis, TN, graduated from Covenant College in 2006 with a BA in Philosophy, and played four years on the men’s soccer team. Jim, having interned at two churches working with students, spent a year as a missionary in Ethiopia with MTW in 2007 where he met his wife Jodi, who is from England. After graduating with a Masters in Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in June 2013, Jim served for three years at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro Tennessee in student ministry, for three years as Senior Pastor at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Summit Mississippi, and is excited to serve at Christ Covenant Church in Hernando. Jim and Jodi have been married since 2008 and have three kids: Eleanor, Charlotte, and Oliver. Jim enjoys being outdoors playing any sport, spending time with family, reading, brewing beer with Jodi, and meeting people over coffee or food. Due to being a parent, he is also addicted to that same coffee!

Heath Warbritton
Music Director
Heath was born in Memphis, TN and grew up in Marion, AR. While doing his undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas, he was introduced to the PCA through the ministry of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), where the Lord called him to serve the Church. Since graduating with his B.A. in Music in 2011, Heath has served in music, worship, youth, and administrative roles at several PCA congregations throughout Arkansas, including churches in Siloam Springs, Fayetteville, Hot Springs, and Sherwood. Heath accepted the call of Christ Covenant Church in December of 2021.
Heath also serves as Conference Coordinator for our presbytery’s annual winter youth conference, CPYC. He enjoys spending his spare time watching Razorback sports, doing anything outdoors, and sharing great conversation over fancy coffee, craft beer, or a dram of Islay scotch.

Rebecca Emerson
Children's Ministry Director
Rebecca is from Olive Branch and graduated in 2005 from Ole Miss with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She married Michael in 2006 and taught for DeSoto County schools for four years before moving to the other side of the world to Southeast Asia in 2009. They served as church planters there for nearly 3 years with the International Mission Board. Upon returning to the US in 2012, Rebecca taught at Northpoint Christian School until the birth of their son, Trent, in 2016. In 2022, Michael and Rebecca welcomed baby Lucy into the family! She enjoys running, making cold-pressed juice for their small business, and being at the lake. Their family has been at Christ Covenant since 2019, and Rebecca has been a part of the Children’s team since then. She is excited to continue working with our families and the precious children of our community.

Jamie Frank
Office Administrator
Jamie Rose Frank started at Christ Covenant Church as our office administrator in February 2020. She is native to Reese, MI & was raised on the family farm. She attended Delta College and married Matthew.
In 2001, Matt’s career at St. Jude moved them to the Memphis, eventually landing them in Hernando in 2009, becoming members of Christ Covenant in 2016. Matt and Jamie are parents to 3 active boys; Eli, Leo and Liam.
When not crisscrossing the south for baseball and soccer tournaments, Jamie can found at the gym, on the tennis courts or at home. 2022 marked her 10th year running as a St. Jude Hero.

Justin Helms
Interim Youth Intern
Justin grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina, right outside of Charlotte. He attended Anderson University in Upstate South Carolina where he played college baseball for four years and received a bachelor's degree in Christian Studies. Upon graduation, Justin married his high school sweetheart, Carey, who took a job with RUF at the University of Memphis. Justin enjoys watching and playing any kind of sports (go Braves, go Panthers, go Grizz), watching movies, and playing with their golden retriever, Dansby. Justin is most excited to come alongside students in their understanding of the beauty of the Gospel and how it radically changes their lives.

Carey Helms
Interim Youth Intern
Carey (Horne) Helms grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina. She graduated from The University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in Secondary English Education. Carey was introduced to RUF her freshman year at UNCW and says it was the sweetest part of her college experience. She loves playing sports and wants to coach high school volleyball one day. Her favorite things include sundrop slushies, reality TV (especially The Bachelor), and sunrise surfing. She is excited to get to know the students at Christ Covenant Church!

Carolyn Boswell
Accountant
Carolyn and her husband, Walter, have been active members of our mother church, Christ Presbyterian Church, Olive Branch, MS, for 15 years. They have 7 children and 6 grandchildren. Carolyn handles the everyday accounting business of the church.
